What is the Economics course of study?

This program introduces you to the field of economics with a look at the financial system and how modern economies work.

What will I learn?

You’ll sharpen your critical thinking and problem-solving skills as you learn about economic concepts and principles, including the behavior of corporations, consumers and society. Topics include the function and structure of markets, business cycles, statistical concepts and techniques, and the influence of government regulation on the economy. You’ll explore market efficiency and learn about how economic activity is measured and evaluated.

What can I do with this course of study?

This program will prepare you for a bachelor’s degree in economics, which creates a pathway into a variety of careers in business, law, education, journalism, public affairs, finance and banking. Additional opportunities are available with a graduate degree in economics.
